Farmers Market to Open in Halcyon
Halcyon, in South Forsyth, announced Thursday its inaugural farmers market series will start Tuesday, May 19th. Measures that follow health guidelines will be in place in response to the coronavirus pandemic. The outdoor market will be held weekly from 4-7 p.m. on Halcyon’s event lot, behind Cherry Street Brewpub, through Oct. 27th. The market will feature fresh produce and products from nearly 20 local and regional vendors, including:

Effective Friday, May 1, Forsyth County Parks & Recreation will reopen various facilities to the public after being temporarily closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The following facilities will reopen May 1 at County parks:

Forsyth County is a place that has an abundance of great non-profits. These organizations provide food, housing, medical care and much more for our residents and our animals. People work long hard unpaid volunteer hours to support these fabulous organizations.
Humane Society of Forsyth County is 45 years old
Since 1975 the Humane Society of Forsyth County has been helping homeless animals offering many programs and services to educate, inform, and inspire people to take responsible care of their pets and treat animals with the kindness they deserve.
