According to school officials. Forsyth County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jeff Bearden will present the system’s early plan for reopening schools in the fall to the Forsyth County Board of Education on Tuesday, June 2, during a special-called virtual meeting.

Unemployment Higher Than The Great Depression
The number of unemployed increased from 342,601 to 581,820. Georgia's April number of unemployed is more than 80,000 higher than the height of the Great Recession. This is the highest unemployment rate on record, eclipsing the previous high of 10.6 percent that occurred in December 2010

In an announcement from Forsyth County a new process for customers to submit applicattions online for building permits, business and alcohol licenses, inspections and land demelopment plans.
The new EnerGov Customer Self Service software will replace Govern, eStatus and Eplan soluctions software on the county's website.

CAPE CARNAVERAL, FLa. SpaceX is making final preparations for launch TODAY (5/27/2020) for Demo-2 mission to Launch NASA astronauts from U.S. Soil for the first time since 2011.
A Space X Falcon 9 rocket and Crew Dragon spacecraft will take Doug Hurley and Bob Behnken to the International Space Station. The launch is scheduled for 4:33 pm EDT from launch pad 39A of the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. This launch pad was also used for Apollo and space shuttle programs.
Lidl Opens New Market
Lidl, the German-based supermarket company, plans to open its new location in Forsyth County on Wednesday, May 27, the company's 100th location in the U.S.
But due to the coronavirus pandemic, there will be no ribbon-cutting ceremony. The store, located at 2985 Peachtree Parkway, will have a soft opening and begin operation with many of the measures that grocery stores around the country have implemented to follow health guidelines.
