In a recent news release from Forsyth County  

The GIS team is excited to announce the release of a new way to interact and discover the power of GIS information. The  redesign of the flagship GIS Viewer will provide you with a new way of interacting and discovering the power of GIS information, from any device and any location. A GIS Open Data Portal has been created to allow users to access all of the publicly available GIS data for Forsyth County.

The University of North Georgia Corps of Cadets has been selected as the 2018-19 recipient of the MacArthur Award for U.S. Army Cadet Command's 1st Brigade. The Spartan Brigade encompasses the nation's six senior military colleges.  The six military colleges are North Georgia, Norwich University, Texas A&M University, Citadel, Virginia Military Institute and Virginia Tech.

Truck or Treat at the Fairgrounds Canceled

This event has been canceled due to weather concerns. Local families are invited to the county's annual Trunk or Treat Safety Event. The family-friendly event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road.

Advanced Voting in City of Cumming

Advanced voting for the Cumming City Council’s Post 3 will start on October 14th and continue until Friday Nov. 1, 2019.  City of Cumming is located in the center of Forsyth County and includes approximately 3,400 registered voters.

Age Well Forsyth Offering Help for Seniors

Age Well Forsyth has been giving small grants every three months this past year to seniors who need help around their homes and cannot do it themselves and cannot afford to pay someone else to do the work.
