Truck or Treat at the Fairgrounds Canceled

This event has been canceled due to weather concerns. Local families are invited to the county's annual Trunk or Treat Safety Event. The family-friendly event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road.

Advanced Voting in City of Cumming

Advanced voting for the Cumming City Council’s Post 3 will start on October 14th and continue until Friday Nov. 1, 2019.  City of Cumming is located in the center of Forsyth County and includes approximately 3,400 registered voters.

The Georgia Department of Transportation announced it is working with Forsyth County on upcoming intersection improvements on Post Road (Ga. 371) at Bentley and Pittman roads.

Age Well Forsyth Offering Help for Seniors

Age Well Forsyth has been giving small grants every three months this past year to seniors who need help around their homes and cannot do it themselves and cannot afford to pay someone else to do the work.

Volvo "Flying" At McFarland Road Exit

This driver is facing several charges, Alpharetta police is  so very thankful they didn't have to deliver a fatality notification to his, or anyone else's family.

 The Forsyth County Animal Shelter was recognized for its excellence on September 18, 2019 in front of an audience that included state and local officials and representatives from local law enforcement agencies.

 

The Forsyth County Board of Education has approved the sales contract to purchase 42 acres of land on Castleberry Road to construct elementary No. 23.
