Humane Society of Forsyth County is 45 years old

Since 1975 the Humane Society of Forsyth County has been helping homeless animals offering many programs and services to educate, inform, and inspire people to take responsible care of their pets and treat animals with the kindness they deserve.

As with all non-profit organizations during this time the Humane Society is feeling the pain this Covid-19 Pandamic is causing.  Being a limited admission, adoption guarantee facility dedicated to placing every cat and dog in our care into a loving home.  The adoption guarantee means that every animal that is admitted to our shelter is free from the threat of euthanasia due to space, time or treatable medical issues no matter how long it takes.  Almost, all the adoptable animals are now in foster care with only a few gtting care and love from the staff during this time.

Celebrating 45 years of care is an accopmplishment that reflects are the people who work at the facility and the community which supports this organization.  The Humane Society offers many programs such as Humane Hearts, a therapy dog program, SNAP (spay and neuter assistance) Low Cost Clinic and a Pet Food Pantry for people needing assistance in feeding their furbabies.
