- Sunday, June 9, 1 p.m.
- Each year, thousands of people all over America join together to make a public commitment to end gun violence, and to honor victims and survivors. We're excited to hold our 2nd annual Wear Orange event in Forsyth County, at Fowler Park (F3 Pavilion). Join us for a potluck lunch with kids' games, face painting, water balloons, nearby playground, and some special ways to let survivors know you care. Bring a dish to share, OR just yourself! Wear orange and we hope to see you there!
More than 100 Americans are killed with a gun everyday, according to the organization, and guns are the second-leading cause of death for American children. The events are dedicated to honoring victims of gun violence.
Gun safety advocates are spearheading the effort, which has attracted brand partners including Levi Strauss & Co. and Dick's Sporting Goods, as well as celebrities including Julianne Morre, Laura Dern and Keegan-Michael Key and more than 200 mayors plan to partake..
