Georgia Liquor Barn

Effective October 1, Georgia Liquor Barn (GLB) in Cumming, Ga. is slated to lose there liquor license for 29 days..  District 1 Commissioner Molly Cooper pushed and took a hard stand on this harsh punishment for GLB.  This means that this local business will be closed for the month of October essentially.  Other Businesses with similar infractions have been issued a mere citation and/or fine, they have not been ordered to shut their doors and lose an entire month of revenue.

Social media pages have come out in full force with support for owner, Ankoor Patel.  You can go and watch the Board of Commissioners Meeting of Sept. 19 at around 1 hour and 29 minutes into the meeting and see the action and in our opinion unprofessional actions taken.

WE ARE ASKING ANYONE who can to please go and make a purchase from this business to help them weather the close period.  We are not asking you to stop shopping at your favorite location, but only giving this business a little extra.  Gift cards are available for purchase as well.

As a community we always help small business and we have witnessed this first hand during the past months of the shut downs with the COVID pandemic.

Thank you in advance for any support you can offer.
