Halcyon Opens Two New Food Service Locations

 Roswell-based Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee will open its new location at Halcyon on Saturday, bringing the total number of retailers and restaurants open at the Forsyth County mixed-use village to 27 concepts. Johns Creek-based Pharaoh Nails and Spa also opened its new location at Halcyon earlier this month.

Today Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee, patrons can enjoy live music at the coffeehouse between 4 to 9:30 p.m. as well as free giveaways and raffles. Land of a Thousand Hills will donate $1 to charity for every $1 spent on raffle tickets.

Located on the West end cap of Halcyon's Market Hall, across from Cherry Street Brewpub and the Village Green, the 2,418-square-foot coffeehouse is the company's largest location and the first to use self-pour technology.  For Halcyon's residents, office users and surrounding neighbors, Land of a Thousand Hills will serve 100 percent Arabica coffee alongside a 24-tap, pour-it-yourself beverage wall with a variety of beer, cider and hard seltzer. To use the wall, customers link a radio-frequency identification (RFID) card to their payment method, then can enjoy sampling their choice of pours by the ounce.

Founder Jonathan Golden in 2005 says to "Drink Coffee. Do Good," Land of a Thousand Hills partners with farmers in Rwanda, Africa to craft coffee, create purposeful work and cultivate flourishing communities. The company also operates cafes in Rowell, Midtown, Buckhead and at Atlantic Station as well as Bradenton, Florida, Houston, Texas, Boston, Massachusetts and Roanoke, Virginia.

Behind Halcyon's Market Hall next to It's a Sweet Life bakery, Pharaoh Nails and Spa debuted the company's third location at Halcyon. Since local owners Ryan and Natalie Nguyen established the Johns Creek headquarters in 2009, Pharaoh Nails and Spa also opened a location in Marietta before choosing to expand to Forsyth County.

The salon offers a wide spectrum of spa services, including manicures, pedicures, waxing, permanent eyeliner, microblading and eyelash extensions. Manicures range from the Cleopatra for $12, a simple and quick hand-makeover on a time crunch, to the 40-minute Sphinx for $32, including fine sugar scrub, a milk-and-honey hand massage, collagen gloves and hot towels to rejuvenate and renew the skin. Beyond classic pedicures, self-care stalwarts can indulge in premium treatments such the Valley of the Kings for $60, which is heated by candlelight for an invigorating experience Detox Volcano Crystals and Activators for an invigorating experience, or enjoy ultimate relaxation with the two-hour Egyptian Pedicure complete with a rose petal salt bath, painted mud mask and massage therapy for $150.

Land of a Thousand Hills at Halcyon will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Pharaoh Nails & Spa is open Sunday from noon to 6 p.m. and Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. (closed Tuesday).
