Out of nearly 4,000 rubber duckies, the North Forsyth Rotary Club was selected as the winner of a $10,000 prize.
Over the last half year the education foundation “adopted” thousands of ducks out to members of the community to raise funds for the work the foundation does in the school system. The foundation has given out more than $188,000 in grants to schools and teachers in Forsyth County.
Prior to putting on a blindfold and climbing into the pool of ducks to pick a lucky winner, Forsyth County Schools Superintendent Jeff Bearden thanked the community for its support of the foundation.
