According to Cpl. Doug Rainwater, a spokesman with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, Larry Lance Bradshaw, 29, and Jason Robert Merritt, 33, were arrested on Thursday following an extensive investigation into their alleged activities by area narcotics agents.
Bradshaw (pictured on the left) and Jason Robert Merritt have been under investigation for a while according to Rainwater. "On (Nov. 29) we went ahead and decided to make a traffic stop based on a traffic violation and we found a large quantity of meth."
Rainwater stated that Bradshaw, a lifelong resident of Forsyth County, was the main target of the JCAFC Drug Task Force bust, but both were known to allegedly be bringing methamphetamine into the county from the metro Atlanta area. They were supposedly dealing drugs out of their vehicle.
"They were major participants in the meth trade," Rainwater said.
All told, Rainwater said that more than nine ounces of methamphetamine were found in the suspects’ vehicle along with MDMA and marijuana.
Bradshaw has been charged with two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana over an ounce, parole violation and failure to maintain lane.
