As a convenience to citizens, photo identification cards for voting purposes will be available during the Forsyth Senior Exposition. The Georgia Licensing on Wheels (GLOW) Bus will be at Central Park from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on February 18.
Any resident needing an identification card for voting purposes can simply bring one of each of the following documents to the GLOW Bus on that date: • Proof of identity – such as a certified birth certificate copy or military ID • Proof of residency – such as a utility bill or bank statement issued in 2006 • Proof of citizenship – a birth certificate or immigration documentation will fulfill this requirement
Identification cards for voting purposes are valid for ten years and there is no charge. In order to receive a free identification card an Affidavit of Eligibility must be completed. The affidavit states that you have no other form of ID, you are registered to vote (or are registering now), you want to have an ID card and you do not have a Georgia Driver's License. No documentation is required for the affidavit, which will be available on-site.
The Forsyth County Central Park Recreation Center is located at 2300 Keith Bridge Road (Highway 306) in Cumming. For details regarding the GLOW Bus, please call Betsy Brown at the Forsyth County Registrations & Elections Office at (770) 781-2118 ext. 3.
