Community invited to tour new facility

A new era in Forsyth County’s emergency services is about to begin with the official grand opening of the county’s Public Safety Complex. The public is invited to attend this special event, which will include a ribbon cutting ceremony and tours of the new facility, on Thursday, August 3 at 10:00 a.m.

The Public Safety Complex is the first of its kind in Forsyth County and will house the county’s emergency service functions. Located in the building are the 911 Center, Fire Department Headquarters, Emergency Management Agency and training rooms for the Sheriff’s Office and Information Technology Department. The complex also includes an Emergency Operations Center which will allow the county’s decision makers to work together from one centralized locations during major emergency events, optimizing effectiveness.
