County Enlists Creativity of Forsyth High School Students in Development of New County Logo |
|
The Forsyth County Board of Commissioners is seeking the creative assistance of Forsyth County high school students in the development of a new county logo.
At a work session held October 11, commissioners approved the research and design of a new Forsyth County logo. Noting the highly artistic and creative skills of local students, commissioners recommended that the school system be involved in the logo design process. The top designs will then be utilized in working with a professional graphic design company to develop a new logo.
"We have some very talented students in our school system," noted District 5 Commissioner Linda Ledbetter. "I am looking forward to seeing their submissions and know that they will provide us with some great ideas for a new Forsyth County logo."
All Forsyth County students in grades nine through 12 are invited to submit an entry in the logo contest. The top three designs will each receive a $100 U.S. Savings Bond. Paper entries should be no larger than 8.5" x 11"; digital entries must be submitted on CD or floppy in one of the following formats: GIF, JPEG, TIFF or PDF. All entries should include the student’s name, address, phone number, age, grade and name of school. Submissions must be received by close of business on Thursday, November 10 at the Forsyth County Public Information Office, 110 East Main Street, Suite 210, Cumming, GA 30040; only one entry per student.
