“Bring One for the Chipper" Recycle Christmas Trees |
|
The annual “Bring One for the Chipper” event hosted by Keep Forsyth County Beautiful will be held Saturday, January 6, 2007 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. All Forsyth County residents are urged to recycle their Christmas tree at a county drop-off site, this way the trees can be chipped into mulch. Free tree seedlings will be available at all sites on January 6th ; they will be given out on a first come basis, while supplies last. Local scouts can earn a tree recycling patch from KFCB for this event. Each scout must recycle 5 trees in order to qualify. In the past, scout groups have used this event as a fundraiser, and raised over a thousand dollars! Please look to files on the right to download this year's patch form.
